The Excellence in Pediatrics Conference (EIP) is the Institute's annual flagship event that updates its delegates on the latest scientific developments. More importantly, it helps them improve the standard of care they deliver on the Monday morning after the meeting. Attending the Excellence in Pediatrics conference, which encompasses topics from neonates to early adolescence and covers all pediatric specialties, is an invaluable opportunity for child healthcare professionals. This holistic educational experience offers a unique platform to delve into the intricacies of child health at various developmental stages. Whether you're interested in the delicate care of neonates, the dynamic changes in infancy, or the unique challenges of early adolescence, this conference provides comprehensive insights and the latest advancements in each field.

Moreover, including all main pediatric specialties under one roof allows for an integrated learning experience. Participants can explore intersections between different specialties, enriching their understanding of pediatric care as a whole. Educational Programs to enhance awareness and education among frontline child healthcare professionals

The Excellence in Pediatrics (EIP) Community is a dynamic global network that fosters peer-to-peer learning among healthcare professionals. Through its online platform, the EIP Community offers a space for members to connect and collaborate with peers across the globe. The community members are central to the EIP Institute and play a pivotal role in setting priorities and shaping the institute's activities. Open to healthcare professionals from various regions, the EIP Community is free and accessible for those eager to join and engage.

EIP has hosted over 90 free webinars and courses in the last few years to enhance awareness and education among frontline child healthcare workers. These webinars, emphasizing peer-to-peer education, are widely promoted and accessible. All sessions are recorded and made available to EIP's network of 45,000 healthcare professionals worldwide. In addition, over the past seven years, EIP has cultivated a vast online educational content library by recording its annual conference sessions. This Recorded Sessions Library, featuring over 250 sessions, is a valuable resource for healthcare professionals to update their skills and knowledge.

VACCINES TOGETHER INITIATIVE

LifeCourse Vaccinations as the Basis of Health Systems Resilience. Protecting All Against Vaccine-Preventable Diseases

Vaccines Together is an initiative and online collaboration hub run by EIP, targeting to increase vaccination coverage rates across Europe and all stages of life by facilitating collaboration, best practices exchange, ideas and educational resources sharing among organisations, associations, and institutions involved in promoting vaccinations. In addition to the 5 Working Groups formed, Vaccines Together aims to build vaccine confidence among healthcare professionals directly through targeted campaigns and free-to-view online vaccine training courses. Explore the portal's dedicated sections to learn more about our latest campaigns and free-to-view online training for healthcare professionals.

The Annual Lifecourse Immunisation Summit and Working Groups prioritise establishing life course vaccinations as the basis of health system resilience. By bringing together over 50 key organisations, opinion leaders, associations, and policymakers, EIP is working on what needs to change and what activities need to happen to support this desired change. We are proud to collaborate with many allied organisations and associations.

SPOT THE EARLY SIGNS EDUCATION PROGRAM

Early Diagnosis Can Make a Difference

The Spot The Early Signs program aims to fight under-diagnosed or late-diagnosed conditions for which treatments are available and where early detection and early treatment could make a significant difference in the condition's development, the quality of life and the survival of patients.

	Visit the MPS Resource Center	Misdiagnosis of Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) results in late diagnosis and the late start of treatment, which has significant consequences on long-term outcomes. This gap usually results in confusing symptoms with other conditions, most notably trying to address symptoms directly and delaying actual diagnosis and treatment or referring the patient to the wrong pediatric specialties, causing further delays in the condition’s management chain.

	Visit the MLD Resource Center	Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) is a rare hereditary disease characterized by the accumulation of fats called sulfatides. This causes the destruction of the protective fatty layer (myelin sheath) surrounding the nerves in both the central and peripheral nervous systems, ultimately affecting intellectual and motor function. Early-onset clinical manifestations are often overlooked or confused with other conditions, confusing non-trained HCPs at first contact, resulting in misdiagnosis, wrong referral routes and delays in the early start of treatment. Delays in starting treatment significantly affect the conditions’ development and the patient’s health and quality of life. This delay in referral and treatment must be overcome.

	Visit the MPS Resource Center	Alpha-mannosidosis is an ultra-rare genetic disorder caused by a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme alpha-mannosidase. The symptoms, severity, and progression of alpha-mannosidosis vary widely between individuals, making diagnosis challenging and often delayed. Minimizing the time to diagnosis is important in ensuring that individuals with alpha-mannosidosis and their families receive timely access to support and specialist MDT care.
