The program is designed to cover the education needs of frontline child healthcare professionals. EIP welcomes ideas on topics and thematic streams to be included in the program and also suggestions on specific education needs to be addressed.

Session Types

Plenary Keynote Sessions
Single-speaker keynote lectures by leading experts, chosen to inspire as well as educate. Topics will be of broad interest to all who care for children and present state of the art science knowledge related to clinical practice and public health.

Up-to-Date Sessions
Designed to provide clinical updates and practical tips on specific topics that will improve the care general pediatricians deliver in their everyday practice.

Hands-on Workshops and Classes
Interactive sessions offering the opportunity to learn and practice specific skills. These sessions include 1 or 2 expert facilitators who will use a variety of didactic formats to teach these skills. Participants can expect to leave the session with practical skills that they can apply in their everyday practice.

Audience Response Sessions
The session format is an effective way to enable presentation and discussion on opposing views about a topic. The audience will be able to interact with the speakers and participate in the discussion.

Health Policy Focus Groups
The EiP Policy Focus Groups are meetings designed to examine current child health policies in sub-specialities of pediatrics and are tasked with identifying barriers that need to be overcome to improve health outcomes. The concept being that by offering evidence-based recommendations and filling the education and awareness gaps of healthcare professionals EiP are able to overcome specific barriers.


The program has more than 100 sessions delivered by over 90 academics, experts and leading pediatricians coming from all over the world.  

The Pediatrics track includes 60 sessions covering the following 10 thematic streams / Sections:

  • Section on GENERAL PEDIATRICS
  • Section on VACCINES & INFECTIOUS DISEASES
  • Section on RARE DISEASES
  • Section on DERMATOLOGY
  • Section on NUTRITION & DIETS
  • Section on GASTROENTEROLOGY & METABOLISM
  • Section on ENDOCRINOLOGY AND GROWTH
  • Section on ALLERGY – IMMUNOLOGY – PULMONOLOGY
  • Section on PSYCHIATRY & NEURODEVELOPMENTAL PEDIATRICS
  • Section on ORTHOPAEDICS, EMERGENCY, INJURIES  & TRAUMA

The Neonatology / Early Pediatrics track includes 20 sessions covering the following 4 thematic streams / Sections:

  • Section on NEONATAL INFECTIOUS DISEASES
  • Section on NEONATAL & EARLY NUTRITION
  • Section on PRETERM INFANT
  • Section on INFANT DEVELOPMENT

The Adolescent Medicine track includes 20 sessions covering the following 5 thematic streams 2 thematic streams / Sections:

  • Section on ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH 
  • Section on ADOLESCENT HEALTH COMMUNICATION
  • Section on ADOLESCENT WELLBEING
  • Section on ACTIVE YOUTH 
  • Section on YOUTH OBESITY
