Postdoctoral Clinical Fellow, Turku University Hospital
Dr Pärtty is a postdoctoral clinical training fellow at the department of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Turku University Hospital. In January 2014 she completed her PhD at the University of Turku focusing on infant colic crying, gut microbiota and probiotics. She was supervised by Professor Erika Isolauri, Professor Seppo Salminen, Professor Liisa Lehtonen and Docent Marko Kalliomäki. Dr Pärtty’s recent research activities have been focusing on the area of gut microbiota composition and probiotics in colic infants and she has been collaborating with leading groups around the world in this area. Along with her clinical paediatric training she has also been working as a consultant in paediatric gastroenterology unit at Turku University Hospital with a special interest in functional gastrointestinal disorders, especially in colic crying. She has been involved in teaching and supervising medical students and she has been as an invited speaker in several international conferences.
