Christian Molgaard is a Professor in preventive and clinical pediatric nutrition and Head of Section for Pediatric and International Nutrition at Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports; University of Copenhagen since 2015. Part time Medical Consultant (speciallægekonsulent) at Pediatric Nutrition Unit, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen since 2002. Adjunct Professor at H. C. Andersen Children Hospital, Odense University Hospital, Odense, Denmark from 2018. 

From 1992 to now mainly scientific positions at Universities. From 1981 to 1992 clinical positions at different hospital departments including pediatrics (47 months). His research areas  include nutrition in infancy, childhood and adolescence, bone mineralization and body composition in children and adolescents, glucose and insulin metabolism in infancy, childhood and adolescence, obesity in infancy, childhood and adolescence and malnutrition in low-income countries. For more than 20 years he has been  involved in numerous observation and intervention studies involving infants, children and teenagers with focus on different aspects of nutrition, growth and development. The section has research in several low income countries mainly in Africa in addition to research in high income countries especially in Denmark.
