Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Great Ormond Street Hospital
Dr Dasha Nicholls is Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Joint Head of the Feeding and Eating Disorders service at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. She is chair of the Eating Disorders Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Past President of the Academy of Eating Disorders, Chair of the Junior MARSIPAN group, a member of the NICE Guideline Committee, and member of the NHS England Expert Reference Group for Eating Disorders. Her clinical work is concerned with feeding and eating disorders in children and adolescents, including early onset eating disorders, avoidant restrictive food intake disorders, and child and adolescent obesity. She has published over 60 research articles and book chapters and is actively engaged in lecturing and teaching. She was co-founder of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Surveillance System (CAPSS) for research into rare disorders and events in child mental health.
