Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Children’s Health Ireland
Dr. Dani Hall is a consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, with training in the UK and currently practicing in Dublin, Ireland. She has built a distinguished career in medical education, where she serves as an Executive Director of the FOAMed collaboration Don’t Forget The Bubbles (www.dontforgetthebubbles.com), a leading platform in pediatric emergency medicine education. Additionally, Dr. Hall is a Senior Lecturer on the Paediatric Emergency Medicine master’s program at Queen Mary University of London and serves as the simulation lead for Children’s Health Ireland. Her previous roles have included organizing conferences for the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (APEM) and the Paediatric Emergency Medicine Intercollegiate Specialist Advisory Committee (PEMISAC).
Dr. Hall is also the clinical lead for the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) Rainbow Badge initiative within Children’s Health Ireland, a program dedicated to improving healthcare experiences for LGBTQ+ children and young people. She works collaboratively with Linn Dara CAMHS to lead this initiative at a national level, and the project received the prestigious Irish Healthcare Award for Equality Initiative of the Year in 2021. Passionate about advancing healthcare for LGBTQ+ youth, Dr. Hall is leading multiple research projects aimed at enhancing staff clinical competence in this area. Her research was recognized with the 2023 Irish Healthcare Award for Research Project of the Year and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) Dr Michael Blacow Memorial Prize. Additionally, the work is being featured in the UK Science Museum, highlighting its national significance.
Dr. Hall’s advocacy for children and young people drives much of her work, and she is deeply committed to improving the clinical care and experiences of her patients. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys good coffee, engaging stories, and spending time with her family.
