Senior Development Officer Health & Wellbeing, National Children’s Bureau

Emily Hamblin is a Senior Development Officer at the National Children’s Bureau (NCB). Emily joined NCB in 2010 and specialises in Health and Wellbeing. She has led and contributed to projects on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, including supporting European Youth Tackling Obesity (EYTO), which ran from 2013 to 2015. EYTO developed and tested the impact of innovative peer-led social marketing campaigns promoting healthy eating and physical activity to help stem the rise in obesity amongst disadvantaged young people across Europe. Emily’s work focuses on the needs of children and young people who are particularly affected by health inequalities and barriers to accessing services, including enabling their participation in decision-making., working to influence government policy, be a strong voice for young people and front-line professionals, and provide practical solutions on a range of social issues.
