What is the EIP Virtual Code of Conduct?

We are committed to creating a safe environment that is inclusive and free from discrimination, regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other protected categories under applicable law. Please alert our event team of anyone who is not following this policy by emailing secretariat@ineip.org

What are acceptable behaviours when using the EIP Virtual Attendees Hub? 

(1) Be considerate of those around you. (2) Be respectful of others and accept their viewpoints may be different from your own. (3) Be collaborative with others. (4) Be mindful of your words and actions.

Could you please give me examples of unacceptable behaviours? 

e.g. (1) Offensive or unwanted behaviour or language including, but not limited to, race, religion, colour, national origin, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, or any other similar categories. (2) Visual harassment, such as sexual images OR sexual language at the Event, including in both presentations and slide decks. (3) Wearing attire that includes harmful or offensive language or imagery that is not appropriate for a professional setting. (4) Intimidation or bullying, both online and/or in-person. (5) Sharing your event registration with another person(s). Any other illegal activity not already covered above.

What are the consequences of unacceptable behaviour?

Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and could result in debarment from the current, and/or any future EIP events. If a participant is found or reasonably believed to be engaging in unacceptable behaviour, EIP may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without warning or refund. If appropriate, local law enforcement may get involved.
