Dr Jo Inchley is Reader at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow and retains a part-time position as Reader in Child and Adolescent Health in the School of Medicine, University of St Andrews. She is a behavioural scientist and public health researcher specialising in child and adolescent health. Primary research interests include mental health, school health, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, obesity, sleep, social media and spirituality.
Jo is currently elected International Coordinator of the Health Behaviour of School-aged Children (HBSC) WHO Collaborative Cross-national study, the largest study of adolescent health and wellbeing in Europe. She also leads the UK-wide Transdisciplinary Research for the Improvement of Youth Mental Public Health (TRIUMPH) network and is a member of the WHO Advisory Group on Global Action for Measurement of Adolescent Health (GAMA).
