GI Allergy Specialist Nurse, Department of Gastroenterology, Great Ormond Street Hospital UK
Karen Aris is the first highly specialist Gastro-Allergy Nurse in the UK. She works within the GIANTS (GI-Allergy Nutrition and Therapies Service) at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Karen has twenty years of paediatric nursing experience, including Deputy Sister at University College London Hospital. She has also worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Tertiary Allergy at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. She is an independent Nurse Prescriber and accredited in Paediatric Advanced Life Support. Karen has a particular passion for quality improvement and transition for young people with complex multisystem allergic disease.
