Dr. Samudragupta Bora is a pediatric neuroscientist whose primary interest and expertise are the neurodevelopmental outcomes of infants born very preterm. His research has focused specifically on the neurological mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental impairments and child psychopathology in this high-risk population, along with the early identification of those at greatest risk. Dr. Bora received his doctoral degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and has held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Canterbury, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, USA. Since May 2016 Dr. Bora has held the position of Group Leader for Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up and Outcomes at the Mater Medical Research Institute. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Barakat Bundle, a nonprofit social enterprise venture incubated at the Harvard Business School, USA, that is working towards reducing preventable infant and maternal mortality in South Asia.
