Head, Neonatologist, Pediatric Allergist and Pulmonologist, Klinikum Rosenheim (DE)

Torsten Uhlig, MD, is a neonatologist, pediatric allergist and pediatric pulmonologist. He works in clinical pediatrics at Klinikum Rosenheim, Germany. He studied medicine in Bochum, Essen and Munich, all of Germany. Later, he was a resident at the Children's Hospital of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich before he received a research grant for the University of Western Australia, where he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow and did research in neonatal lung function and immunology from 1995 to 1997. After his return to Germany, he worked as a consultant neonatologist at Schwäbisch-Gmünd before becoming head of the Dept. of Pediatrics at the Hospital of Pirmasens. Since 2002, he has been head of the Pediatric Department in Rosenheim, Bavaria. Dr Uhlig is accredited as a specialist in Pediatrics, Neonatology, Pediatric Allergology, and Pediatric Pulmonology in the respective scientific societies in Germany. He is a member of the German Society for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ), the Society for Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care (GNPI), and the European Academy of Pediatrics (EAP). He is a lecturer in pediatrics at LMU Munich and Paracelsus University Salzburg, Austria. He has also been a lecturer in Ultrasound Training in the Developmental Project “Ärzte der Welt” in Cambodia since 2012 and in Zibo/China in 2019.
