Associate Professor, National Taipei University of Education, TAIWAN
Dr. Lin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the National Taipei University of Education, Taiwan. She received her M.P.H. in 1994 from Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan, and her Ph.D. in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science in 2001 from University of Sheffield. She then had post-doctoral research training in physical activity epidemiology at the Taiwan National Health Research Institute. Dr. Lin began working in the area of child and adolescent health when she started her teaching and research career at the National Taipei University of Education in 2002. Herresearch interests include diet, physical activity and obesity; spirituality, happiness and mental wellbeing; and social determinants of health and health behaviour among children and adolescents. She has received research funding from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW), Taiwan. Dr. Lin is professionally affiliated with leading organizations at the interface of school health and public health. She serves as a scientific reviewer for MOHW and MOST funding application, and a peer reviewer for several national and international journals. Dr. Lin is currently the principal investigator of HBSC Linked Project, Taiwan. She has conducted a nationwide survey using the HBSC 2013/2014 protocol to explore the association between subjective well-being, mental health and their social determinants among Taiwan youth.
