Dr. Hanna Petersen, is a paediatrician specialized in neonatology. She is currently working in the Department of Neonatology at the Charité University Hospital Berlin/Germany.  Dr. Petersen studied medicine in Berlin in Germany, Lisbon in Portugal and Fortaleza in Brazil. After finishing her studies in 2007, she worked as a resident in Helios Klinikum Bad Saarow and Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus Berlin Spandau, both in Germany.

 

Her main research interest focuses on clinical nutrition, she has conducted and published clinical research in this field. While working as a consultant in neonatology at Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus Berlin Spandau she acquired additional qualification in Infection Prevention and Infection Control in 2018 as well as her Master of Science in Infectious Diseases (MSc) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2018. She subsequently qualified in Antibiotic Stewardship in Paediatrics in 2019.
She is member of the German Society for Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ), the German Society for Neonatology and Paediatric Intensive Care (GNPI), the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) and the German Society for Paediatric Infectiology (DGPI).
Dr Hanna Petersen is a lecturer at Wannseeakademie für Fort-und Weiterbildung and Brandenburgisches Bildungswerk Potsdam and has worked as a lecturer and senior expert in various projects in Cambodia and China.
